to slimpretty(eek!)girl

This was a blog entry by someone presumably addressed to a friend of mine.

It's over. He's gone.

Why do we have to part while the love is still there? Why do we have to suffer? Why do beginnings have an end? Why do we have to meet only to lose in the end?

There are questions left unanswered, words left unsaid, letters left unread, poems left undone, songs left unsung, love left unexpressed, and promises left unfulfilled.

In a relationship, one of the hardest things to do is saying goodbye and letting go. It is hard as breaking a crystal because you'll never know when you will be able to pick up the pieces again. More often than not, they who go, feel not the pain of parting; it is they who stay behind that suffer, because they are left with memories of a love that was meant to be, a love that was.

At the beginning and at the end of a relationship, we are embarrassed to find ourselves alone. Unfair as it may seem, but that's the way love goes. That's the drama, the bitter sweet and the risk of falling in love. After all, nothing is constant but change. Everything will eventually come to its end without us knowing when, without us knowing how, without us even knowing why. And we must forget not because we want to but because we have to.

In letting go, sorrows come not as a single spy, but in battalion. It seems that everywhere you go, everything you do, every song you hear, every turn of your heart, every blink of your eye and every breath you take always reminds you of him. It's like a stab of a knife, a torture in the night. Funny how the whole world becomes depopulated when only one person is missing. Just imagine, there are four billion people or more on earth and yet it seems you feel lonely and empty without the other.

I don't know if it's worth calling an art, but letting go entails letting special skills to sparkle with a considerable space and time. Time heals all wounds but it takes a little push on our part. Acceptance plays a part. Not all wishes come true. Nor all love stories and with "and they lived happily ever after."

Sometimes we have to part because of circumstances beyond our control. We have to suffer if it would mean happiness for others. we have to cry to temporarily let go of pains. Every beginning has its end like every dawn has its dusk. It's something we can't control, something we have to live up.

It's over. He's gone.

Life has to go on, girl.....
"Sorry. He's very happy now and contented with his life, carreer and family right now. I don't know for how long we can keep it that way but as family we have to, for love, trust and marriage are the very strong foundation of happiness, and believe me, we have it all... Goodluck. I know there's someone out there who can love you more than enough to be happy and free from misery."

You just can’t stop at stealing boyfriends, can you? Let me spell it for you – had you not gotten yourself pregnant, you may not have written this in the first place and you probably won’t have a freakin’ wedding ring on your stupid little finger. Okay, I won’t put all the blame on you since it takes “two to tango” (since you’re such a fan of passe cliches, you may want to keep the phrase for future use), but your recent actions leave a bad taste in my mouth. And since my friend is too nice to malign you (even though you so rightfully deserve it), let me (or us) avenge for her.

Why do we have to part while the love is still there? That is such a good question. You’ve got to be kidding me if you don’t know the answer to this – you’re the living proof! And you just admitted that the love was still there when you entered the picture. How gallant of you. A tad too late to be the hero, don’t you think?

At the beginning and at the end of a relationship, we are embarrassed to find ourselves alone. Speak for yourself. Only people with no sense of self-worth and fullfillment will be embarassed. And placing your comment in context, ang kapal ng mukha mo. Are you actually implying that my friend is embarassed? She's actually the one who's embarassed after what happened? Why should she be?! Shouldn't that sentence read: we should feel embarassed when we're already committed but still go on hitting someone who's, funnily enough, also committed. Ring a bell?

And to hopefully end your speculations, she is happy. She doesn't have to convince you of that nor is it your right to second-guess if she really is.

Just imagine, there are four billion people or more on earth and yet it seems you feel lonely and empty without the other. Yeah, there are 4B people on earth yet you went after a guy who’s already taken. Makes sense to me.

And, girl, reading your last paragraph makes me want to chop your head off. 3.99B people doesn’t seem so bad, right? Especially if the one who left is an unworthy piece of shit.

...love, trust and marriage are the very strong foundation of happiness, and believe me, we have it all. How funny you mentioned trust. Isn’t it that when you first entered that relationship of yours, it was completely devoid of trust? Isn’t it that the underlying premise of your relationship was the lack of trust? How can you be so sure that Mr. Nice-Husband-of-Yours won’t do to you what he did to my friend? Isn’t there a saying that if a guy cheated for you, he’ll most likely cheat on you? Ang tigas talaga ng ulo mo eh noh.

Sounds to me like you’re convincing yourself that you have a perfect family right there. Makes me all the more certain that the Ghost of Summer Past is still haunting you. Is it extremely difficult to live day after day knowing that you just stole the person you’re with? Is it difficult to lie in bed at night and look at your husband and wonder if it’s your face he thinks off right before he closes his eyes? Is it difficult to accept that maybe, just maybe, your story won’t end “happily ever after” too? Is it? I hope to God it is. I hope your conscience (You probably have one tucked in the innermost corner of your being. Try using it from time to time.) bothers you until you cease to be the slimprettygirl you so desperately want to believe.
